Common Era

Developed by real people. Hand-painted by real artists. Tested by real players with real printed cards.

This game is a pocket-sized gallery of cultural artifacts. Each card is inspired by an archetype that has repeated throughout history. It is a series of societal snapshots, a playable version of the world outside your window.

The rules of Common Era are simple enough to learn in an hour with enough strategic complexity to explore for decades. It is not weighed down by volumes of accumulated keywords and coined terms. It is concise, and it will stay that way, because the number of cards in the game has a hard limit. Once the full strategic potential of the rules has been explored, the list of cards stops expanding.

Our goal is to make each playable card equally available to all players. Core sets will only be sold as preconstructed decks, which can be combined and customized to unlock their full potential. You know exactly what's in each box before you buy it.
